Parents,
I am sorry for the delay on the homework help this week. I promise to do better! I had a family emergency this week so everything has been a little off. Please feel free to turn in this week's Chinese homework on Monday or Tuesday if you need extra time.
This week's Chinese homework focuses on question words. We did an assignment in class very similar to the one sent home, so I hope that it will not be too difficult. The first page has twelve sentences. The students should circle the question words they find, and add appropriate punctuation (question marks and periods). If there is a question word in the sentence, it needs a question mark. If there is not a question word, it needs a period. The question words we are focusing on are 几、什么、吗、 喜欢不喜欢.
Here is a translation of the questions:
1. 我家有四个人 Wǒjiā yǒu sì ge rén There are four people in my family
2。你几岁Nǐ jǐ suì How old are you
3。这是什么 Zhè shì shénme What is this
4。今天是几月几号 Jīntiān shì jǐ yuè jǐ hào What is the date today
5。今天是我的生日Jīntiān shì wǒ de shēngrì Today is my birthday
6。我的朋友在这里Wǒ de péngyǒu zài zhèlǐ My friend is here
7。你是老师吗 Nǐ shì lǎoshī ma Are you a teacher
8。现在几点 Xiànzài jǐ diǎn What time is it
9。现在四点半了Xiànzài sì diǎn bànle It is now four-thirty
10。他叫什么名字Tā jiào shénme míngzì What is his name
11。你喜欢不喜欢打篮球Nǐ xǐhuan bù xǐhuan dǎ lánqiú Do you like to play basketball or not
12。你是美国人Nǐ shì měiguó rén You are American
The second page of homework is writing practice for the following characters:
几 (jǐ, how many), 什么(shénme, what), 吗(ma, question particle), 谁 (shéi, who).
Remember we have a test on Friday!
Thanks,
Anna Moore
