This week's Chinese homework went home separate from the usual homework packet. Each student is responsible to learn how to write his/her Chinese name before Friday. On Friday we will have a test, and also do an art project involving their names. I sent home some grid paper, but that may not be enough practice for some students to memorize their names. Please encourage them to practice writing their Chinese names every day this week. They can practice with pencil and paper, on a white board, by shaping the characters out of Play-doh, or by thinking of their own mnemonic devices (for example, seeing a "picture" in the character). We will also be working on their names in class throughout the week.
Thank you for your support, as always!
